Malvern Panalytical is looking for a strategic and results-driven Purchasing Manager to lead initial procurement at the Almelo and Eindhoven supply centers. In this role, you'll ensure the timely, sustainable, and cost-effective sourcing of quality materials and services — driving performance and boosting Malvern Panalytical’s competitive edge.

Responsibilities:

Own the end-to-end Direct Procurementactivities for the locations Almelo and Eindhoven.
Ensure compliance to the Procurement toolsare met and drive wider and deeper adoption of the procurement platform.
Adopt & Develop Global Sustainability(Net 0) targets and achieve required ongoing targets.
Develop appropriate supplier relationships inpursuance of purchasing policies to support production schedules and customerservice targets.
Responsible for delivering NPI (New ProductIntroductions) purchasing targets for the X-ray business.
Manage the reallocation process and make surethat a cadence is reached on new ideas and managing the progress on existingprojects.
Evaluate and appraise new and currentsuppliers in line with purchasing policies, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
Support the implementation of best practicepurchasing methods throughout the supply chain to continually improvepurchasing performance, with results tracking.
Implement & Support LOM (Lean OperatingModel) best practices.
Provide regular and accurate managementinformation, as required, regarding the Procurement function.

About you:

At least five years’ experience in procurement/purchasing role, preferably one that was directly involved with high-mix Low-volume manufacture encompassing lean methodology.
At least two year’s departmental management experience is required.
Ideally, candidates will possess knowledge and experience of computerized management system, including staff training.
Experience within an organization accredited to ISO 9000 and ISO14001.
Excellent planning skills, ability to prioritise and mobilise a team to deliver multiple goals.
Drive for results through collaboration and team-working.
Decisive while working at pace, thoughtful about problem solving.
